For use in measuring rotary table torque in electric drive systems, NOV M/D Totco employs a unique, but simple sensing technology: the Rotary Torque Sensor. Over the years, this device has proven to be quite accurate and reliable.

The Rotary Torque Sensor is a split core transducer which senses the current the motor draws, which is proportionate to that required by the rotary table. The signal detected by the sensor is then transmitted to the signal conditioner, which converts the data to an accurate reading on the electric meter.
